Employee Training
Employee Continuing Education
The McIntyre Group currently offers two levels of formal continuing education courses for our employees. The first level focuses on the fundamentals of the P&C industry and is required for all employees. The second and more advanced level, concentrates on the processes and results expected in compiling sophisticated technical risk analyses, proposals and submissions. The latter course is designed for all staff directly involved in the client risk analysis process, including the senior management team.
Commercial Coverages & Related Risk Management Issues
The McIntyre Group’s commitment to continuing education is evidenced by the extent of training offered to new employees. Policy Quality Control Training (PQCT) is an extensive 10-Module Program that requires all new employees to meet with our Technical Operations Department three days a week over a three-month period. We emphasize that the policies The McIntyre Group provides are actually significant promises so they must be carefully reviewed before being issued.
Our comprehensive continuing education is divided into specific sections, including:
- Agency Management System training on billing, certificates of insurance, documentation and overall client management
- Review of the major lines of coverage including policy terms, conditions and exclusions, as well as endorsements
- Detailed analysis of a policy covering the best methods to review and analyze insurance company-issued policies for accuracy and potential omissions
- Review and analysis of insurance-related provisions of contracts
- Fundamentals of Workers Compensation Experience Ratings
- An in-depth discussion of Business Interruption analysis and insurance
Upon completion of PQCT, each new employee is encouraged to enroll in the pursuit of a professional designation, underwritten by The McIntyre Group.
